You can call me Libby — some people also know me as Betty. I’ve been living in the UK since December 2016, a move that changed my life in ways I never expected.
I work in hospitality as a Housekeeper / Room attendant in London, UK. It’s quite, physical work — the kind that gives you time to think, reflect, and pray while your hands are busy and your heart is processing life.
When I first arrived in the UK, my life did not begin peacefully. It began in chaos, shaped by a painful marriage, complicated family in-laws dynamics, and emotional struggles that forced me to confront parts of myself I had long buried. Those years were not easy, and some of the wounds they left behind took time to name, let alone heal.
This space was born from that journey.
I write to share experiences, lessons, and reflections — not because I have everything figured out, but because healing often begins when we tell the truth gently. I write for those moments when life feels heavy, confusing, or quietly painful. I write because reflection helped me survive when I felt lost.
Pain and loss have shaped my voice. I have known grief, guilt, and the slow work of forgiveness — both toward others and toward myself. There were seasons when survival was all I knew how to do. Over time, that survival became awareness, and awareness slowly became healing.
This blog is not about perfection.
It is about honesty, faith, growth, and learning how to love without abandoning yourself.
I believe healing doesn’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes it comes in stillness — in questions, in reflection, and in choosing gentleness when bitterness would be easier.
Life is not a straight line; it is a winding road filled with unexpected turns, heartache, victories, and lessons that shape who we become. Every life is a story, and behind every story is someone who has faced challenges, made mistakes, and grown — often in quiet, unseen ways.
This is my story, my journey, and I hope it resonates with you as you walk your own path.
Thank you for taking the time to read and connect with me.
May God bless us all. 🙏💜😇
